How to Make America Healthy Again - Mineral Water
A detailed guide to making your own clean and hydrating mineral water that isn't full of pesticides, PFAS, fluoride, and god knows what else at this point.
Instead of buying the toxic drinks like Prime, Propel, or Gatorade that are marketed for hydration, or the expensive pre-packaged electrolyte mixes that often contain artificial sweeteners, stevia (likely bad for fertility), minerals and b-vitamins in the wrong form, and other flavorings (“natural” or artificial) that are assuredly not good for you and your gut health, you should instead start making your own from scratch.
Not only will it save you a ton of money in the long run, but it will be significantly cleaner by starting with distilled water that has no toxins like fluoride or PFAS, more hydrating, richer in trace minerals, better at supporting the detoxification system and elimination of metals like Aluminum with the addition of Shilajit and Silica, but it will also enable you to adjust it to your needs based on your dietary intake, physical activity, sweat output, etc.
What You Need
(Amazon Affiliate links for the products I use myself, if you’d like to support me - You can find all these products from a wide array of sources, either locally at health food stores, or direct from the company online)
Water distiller or RO system - (Cheaper distiller with plastic jug, so just make sure to swap that out for something made of glass or stainless steel - Another good RO system that is also cheaper and comes with extra filters)
Potassium Bicarbonate or Baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) - Bicarbonate is very important to have in your mineral water, be it with sodium or potassium.
Magnesium Chloride - (I prefer this form of magnesium for the chloride to ensure healthy stomach acid, in addition to it’s high bioavailability and clean taste)
Shilajit dry drops or Resin - (I prefer dry drops for ease of use, but the Resin is great as well, it’s just messy and hard to consistently measure)
Liquid Silica Concentrate or Diatomaceous earth for Silica
Zinc Glycinate - (Optional if trying to tackle certain heavy metal toxicities like lead/copper/etc, or help with zinc deficiency related issues like hormonal health - has no taste)
Celtic sea salt - (Optional on days you are sweating A LOT and need extra sodium - Redmond’s salt is great too, but doesn’t mix as well in water)
Grounding rod/stake to submerge into water to connect it to the earth, trying to emulate the water we would be drinking in nature from a spring.
Last but not least, you need sunlight exposure to structure and charge the water after adding minerals.
If you want to ensure that you have the cleanest base water possible that is free from fluoride, heavy metals, pesticides, and other environmental toxins, then you definitely want a distiller instead of reverse osmosis. RO works great too if that's what you have already, but distilled is superior in every way in terms of removing toxins.
If you just want to do the absolute bare minimum with best bang for buck value - get a distiller, Trace Minerals Mega-Mag, baking soda, (sodium bicarbonate) and Shilajit. Those 4 things alone will be hugely beneficial for your health. The rest is optional to your needs and health goals.
Measurements
Like I said earlier, you can adjust this however you like for your needs. These are the measurements I use in my daily 64oz of mineral water/yerba mate tea.
2ml droppers of Trace Mineral Mega Mag (Gives around 50% DV of magnesium)
1/4 tsp of Potassium Bicarbonate
1/4 tsp of magnesium chloride - (28% DV of magnesium - I increase it to 1/2 tsp if I used the sauna or sweated a lot at work)
1 dry puck of Shilajit or a spoon of resin.
10 drops of Liquid Silica Concentrate or 1/8th tsp of DE. (I prefer the LSC lately, but DE works too. Just be careful with not breathing the dust and making a mess)
Zinc glycinate and celtic salt are optional and the amounts will vary to your needs.
Once all my minerals are added to a 1/2 gal glass jar of distilled water or yerba mate tea (I dilute the yerba with more distilled water to reach 64oz), I take it outside and leave it in the sunlight for 10-20 mins with my grounding rod submerged into it to structure and charge it.
You now have one of the cleanest and highest quality mineral waters on earth that best emulates the water we were drinking in nature from springs, without all the toxins that have been inundated into it with industrialization and agricultural practices.
If you have any questions or additions that you think would make the mineral water even better, feel free to DM me on X or Substack.
Clicked all your links. Celtic Sea salt link is failing.
Stevia is bad now? FFS.
Is it fine if I don't plan on having any children?
